- Any person - Individual or Company can Adopt the Trees.
- The person who adopts trees will be referred to as 'The Guardian'. The adopted trees will be referred to as 'Child Trees'
- ‘Adopt a Tree Today’ will take complete care of the child tree on behalf of the guardian.
- The Guardian will the right to name their Child Trees.
- 'Adopt a Tree Today’ will put a name tag on each child tree.
- The adoption certificate for your adopted tree is transferable. The guardian at any point of time can transfer the guardianship to another person. There will be a fee of US$ 1.00 per tree for these transfers.
- The Landed Property at all time will be the property of the Company which buys the land.
- The Tree will be the property of the Guardians at all point of time for 5 Years. The fruits will be the property of the Company on whose land the Tree is planted.
- The CO2 absorbed by the adopted tree will be treated as Carbon Credit to the person adopting the trees.
- The tree will not be cut at any point of time under any circumstances, save and except it dies. A new tree will be planted in its place.
- At no point of time can the Guardian claim to take the tree away from the land.
- The guardians at any point of time can visit the plantation to see their adopted Trees.
- ‘Adopt a Tree Today’ will consider suggestions from the guardians on ways to take better care of their child trees.
- The guardians can request an up-to-date photos of their child trees at any time.
- Each plantation site will have a Jungle House for living. The Guardians can go and live in those houses, as and when they feel so. No charges for maintenance of the room will be collected from the Guardian.
- No responsibility will be taken by ‘Adopt a Tree Today’ for the Guardians living at the Plantation sites. Guardians are advised to be prepared for hard life at the Plantation sites.
- Guardians will have the first choice to re-adopt their child trees on the maturity of 5 years.
- Guardians can divest their adoption certificate at any point of time before the maturity date. On the request of the guardian, Adopt a Tree Today will pay the face value.
